Baby Moon Cake with Mini Star

In an attempt to not waste any cake, I decorated the entire extracted portion of this round double-layer, but wasn't quite sure what to do with that smaller round, so decorated it with clouds and stars. Do you think it fits?

Discount Mia Bella Candles for Cake Space Readers!

My good friend and Cake Space sponsor Jean is currently offering a 15.5% discount to my readers through April 28th. If you love candles, you'll love this superior brand! Amazing quality, awesome scents, beautifully jarred, and discounted to boot!

Last year Jean sent me one of these fabulous candles and what struck me most, aside from the awesome aroma, was that it burned completely clean. Most candles burn with a dark black smoke. Extinguish that flame and you'll really see it. If you burn candles on a regular basis that black smoke will build up in your home. There's nothing very attractive about that!

Feel free to visit her website, look around and decide what you'd most like to gift to someone special, or add to your own candle collection! It's ok to treat yourself!

An example of your savings... a 16oz jar retails for 18.95, with this discount you'll only pay $16! Orders of $125 or more receive free shipping! All orders of $50 or more will receive a free 2010 calendar (value $5.95).

To learn more visit Jean's candle website or email Jean directly. Be sure to mention that Wendy sent you!

Taxes (state ship-to address) and shipping rates will apply.

Shipping rates:

$1 - $14.99 = $6.00
$15 - $29.99 = $8.00
$30 - $44.99 = $9.00
$45 - $59.99 = $10.00
$60 - $74.99 - $11.00
$75 - $89.99 = $12.00
$90 - $104.99 - $13.00
$105 - $119.99 = $14.00
$120 - $124.99 = $15.00
$125+ FREE

Have a wonderful, beautiful smelling day! If you need help with that, contact Jean now!

Dr. Seuss Cat in the Hat Baby Shower Cake

The perfect cake for the expecting Dr. Seuss fan. lol This cake isn't the traditional red and white with black outlines, which means it looks somewhat different than what you might have expected to find. You can paint your cake any way you please! :)

I made this cake from a 12"x18" sheetcake, using an image (as a visual guide only) found on Google Image Search. I frequently use Google to help me with any type of character cakes.

The verse reads: "Think of all the places we will go, as we watch you grow and grow!". Not Dr. Seuss, but we thought it sorta sounded like a decent enough substitution. Thanks to my friend Kelly for her creative mind in coming up with that verse. :)

Monkey Themed Baby Shower Cake

As mentioned in my previous post... just seconds ago (lol) I made two cakes for a recent baby shower... one was an alphabet theme and the other monkeys or junglelike. I'm making up all kinds of fun words today. lol

In any case, this is the monkey cake, again I made the animals using fondant and a candy mold. This cake also has a pair of pink fondant baby booties on it's face and I had a great time making the palm trees. Makes me dream of warmer days, something I'm eagerly awaiting for!

Thanks for looking!

ABC Baby Shower Cake

This shower had a split theme... alphabet blocks and monkeys (or junglish, if you will which explains why this cake has elephants... plus I happen to like elephants). lol I made two cakes in fact... the monkey cake is coming in just a few seconds!

This cake has a few letter blocks decorating the sides and because we knew the name of the baby (still baking in the oven), I went ahead and spelled her name with the fondant blocks.I went with very soft colors to match the decorations purchased for the shower.

The animals were made using fondant and a candy mold. Time saving method to creating cute little animals and because they're relatively flat, they drive very quickly requiring little advanced preparation.WooHoo!

By the way, my Photoshop is on my virus stricken pc, so for the time being I'm having trouble editing my photos or adding any type of watermark or tag. I trust you won't steal my photos? Thank ya!
